The Core Training Programme at AltStep Academy is designed to provide you with a strong foundation in Alteryx, empowering you to streamline data processes, automate repetitive tasks, and build efficient workflows — all without needing to write code. No prior Alteryx experience required.
Through hands-on tailored exercises, you’ll gain the skills needed to confidently navigate Alteryx, prepare and transform data, and generate insights with ease. Whether you’re completely new to Alteryx or looking to formalise your skills, this course will set you up for success.

What You’ll Learn
Navigate the Alteryx interface and understand key components like the Tool Palette, Configuration Window, Canvas, and Results Window.
Learn how to input and output data from different file types, including Excel, CSV, and databases.

Master essential data preparation tools, including Select, Filter, Sort, and Data Cleansing.
Handle different data types (numeric, string, DateTime, Boolean) and clean datasets for accuracy.

Use the Formula Tool to create new fields, perform calculations, and manipulate text.
Apply conditional logic and data conversion functions to streamline processing.

Extract and restructure data using the Text to Columns and DateTime tools.
