Terms and Conditions

Welcome to AltStep Academy, a trading name of AltStep Ltd (“we”, “our”, “us”). These Terms and Conditions apply to all training services provided by AltStep Ltd, including in-person and online courses. By booking or participating in any of our training sessions, you agree to be bound by the terms below.
1. General Information
1.1. AltStep Ltd is a UK-registered company offering Alteryx training through our brand, AltStep Academy.
1.2. We deliver both public and private training sessions, either in-person or online.
2. Bookings and Payment
2.1. Bookings are confirmed once a signed agreement or online registration is completed and payment is received (where applicable).
2.2. Prices are listed in GBP (£) and are exclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated.
2.3. Payment is due within 14 days of invoice or before the training date, whichever comes first.
2.4. For private sessions, a flat group rate applies (typically up to 10 participants), unless otherwise agreed in writing.
3. Cancellation and Rescheduling
3.1. By the Client
- Cancellations must be submitted in writing by emailing info@altstepacademy.com.
- More than 14 days in advance: full refund or reschedule offered.
- 7–14 days in advance: 50% refund or one-time reschedule permitted.
- Less than 7 days: no refund, or reschedule with a 25% late reschedule fee.
- No-shows are considered cancellations and are non-refundable.
3.2. By AltStep Ltd
- We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a session due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. illness, technical issues, low enrolment).
- In such cases, clients will be offered a full refund or an alternative training date.
4. Participant Responsibilities
4.1. Participants are expected to:
- Be on time and ready to engage.
- Have a working Alteryx license unless otherwise arranged.
- Ensure a stable internet connection for online sessions.
- Maintain a respectful and professional attitude.
4.2. We reserve the right to remove any participant whose behaviour disrupts the session, without refund.
5. Training Materials and Intellectual Property
5.1. All training materials, including slides, exercises, and workflows, remain the intellectual property of AltStep Ltd unless otherwise agreed.
5.2. Materials are provided for personal learning and must not be shared, copied, or republished without permission.
5.3. AltStep Academy grants participants a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the materials for self-study.
6. Tailored Training and Bespoke Services
6.1. Bespoke training includes the design and build of real Alteryx workflows alongside a trainer.
6.2. Client data used in these sessions is treated as confidential and not stored beyond the engagement.
6.3. Bespoke client workflows built as part of the training programme are not owned or maintained by AltStep Ltd.
7. Certificates and Outcomes
7.1. A certificate of completion may be issued at the end of a training session.
7.2. While we aim to help participants build proficiency, we do not guarantee certification exam results or specific performance outcomes.
8. Liability and Disclaimer
8.1. Training is provided “as-is” without warranties of any kind.
8.2. AltStep Ltd is not responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the training content.
8.3. In all cases, liability is limited to the amount paid for the training session.
9. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or non-performance caused by events outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, strikes, or technology failures.
10. Privacy and Data Protection
10.1. Any personal data shared with us is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
10.2. Online sessions may be recorded with notice for quality or internal training purposes.
11. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be resolved in the English courts.
